Sharing APP "Celly"

So I just learned of an app called "celly" and it allows you to do a group message without sharing your cell phone number. So for teaching HS that is a plus.  The app allows the curator to set up all approved messages, or allows free messsages, there is picture capablity as well as taking poll for voting.  I have you used the Remind App for several years and while this one will not  replace Remind, it does allow a feature that my students can ask questions and I can respond to them.  I will use this app to comminicate with my students in sharing information, about deadlines and assginments.  I have also used this app for the National Honor Society that I sponsor for our school.  It can keep everyone informed and all members of the "cell" can see what the group is saying.

I think that we will enjoy this app and the ability to get information out to a large crowd of people.  I think this has many advantages to the classroom but also for informing large groups of individuals about important information.  Just a few I can think of would be for Wedding Parties, Events and Special Occasions, Sick Relative updates, or just a group message for family members.  I have not yet found anything that I do not like about the app but as I use it, I will update my opinion on this App.  I asked several of my HS math students if they liked it and they overwhelming said yes!
and the BEST PART - IT IS FREE!

I LOVE Technology

I have been teaching HS Math for 25 years, I have always loved technology but the thing that got me into technology in the classroom is my own son.  He is 17 now but a few years ago, I was watching him with a smartphone, Ipad, and PlayStation game all at the same time.  I began thinking about my own students, how can i keep their attention.  I mean why would they want to listen to me talk about math when they it takes three devices at the same time to hold their attention.  I decided that day to make an HUGE effort to engage my students with something more than pencil and paper.  I have been struggling with how to keep up with all my fun cool tech apps and websites so I decided to create this blog.  I am also trying interactive notebooks in my classroom so I have another blog that I am going to try and keep up with as well, that blog is KnowMooreMath.  Please give me suggestions of what has worked for you and what are your favorite apps and websites as well,
